- So the hot guy who played the twins in The Social Network (two for the price of one), Armie Hammer, is going to play the prince in this new Snow White film. You know, the one Julia Roberts is going to rock in as the bitch queen.
I think casting Armie Hammer was a great idea; even if the movie sucks, viewers will have something pretty to look at.
Anyway, this rumor about Kristen Stewart playing Snow White is persistent as hell. If she takes this role, she will have no right to complain about her celebrity status ever again. You don't sign on to star in a blockbuster fantasy film TWICE without knowing what you're getting into. - So according to People.com, Angelina Jolie is definitely going to play Cleopatra in the remake. I love Angelina Jolie. I have big love for her. She's talented, she's hot, she seems nice enough. And I'm sure she's going to kill it as Cleopatra. But couldn't they have looked for an actress with a little more melanin? Cleopatra was mixed, right? I would have loved to see Paula Patton play the Egyptian queen. It's not like roles are thrown at ethnic looking actresses.
Oh well. - Amy Adams will play Lois Lane in the Superman remake. Were you guys expecting that? I wasn't. Me likey. When I think Lois Lane, I see Rachel McAdams. But Amy Adams is a fantastic actress so yay!
- So guess what? After Christopher Nolan's third and final installment of his Batman films,"The Dark Knight Rises", is released in theaters, Warner Brother's is going to "reboot the franchise".
Another remake? Yup!
Originality is having the worst year ever! I don't think Hollywood studios know what original stories look like at this point. - Speaking of original stories, I just saw the trailer for Midnight in Paris. I think it looks good! Check it out:
What do you guys think? Would you see it in the theaters?

Today in Frivolity: Movie News
Beauty Talk for AOL.
Hi guys!
So as some of you may know, I write for AOL's BV on Style blog. I LOVE writing for AOL!
I'm going to continue writing for BV on Style but I wanted to share a post I wrote for BV on Beauty!
I love Youtube tutorials; they have played a huge factor in the health of my hair, they've taught me everything I know about makeup and they've shown me how to look good on a budget.
So I was thrilled when my boss said I could write a post about some of the best makeup tutorials for women of color.
I worked really hard on this post and I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. You guys should check it out here. Whether you're black or not, the vloggers we featured give great tips.
Thank you : )

Kourtney Kardashian on One Life to Live.
Okay, I don't want my blog to look like YouTube's main page and I really need to get up, shower and head to work but I just saw a vid of Kourtney Kardashian on One Life to Live so of course I have to stop what I'm doing and comment.
Wanna check it out?
Here ya go.
That was pretty bad.
Somewhere in this world, there are people like me who like soap operas and it hurt them to watch that.
Let's stick to our lanes people: actors should act, singers should sing and celebutantes should do what they do.
With that said, She looked adorable.

Not Mandatory but Freaking Good: Santigold
Okay so this is old news by now but I don't really care. Raise your hand if you know who Santigold (formerly Santogold) is.
If you don't know who she is, that's okay. If it wasn't for Pandora.com, I wouldn't know who she was either.
I personally have never been one of those cool people who just have an ear for new music. My ass is still jamming to music from the 90s.
Anyway, Santigold is this amazing amazing AMAZING singer/songwriter who has been rocking my world since I moved to New York. Her sound is a little funky and most of her music will make you want to dance. But to be honest, I haven't heard a song I didn't like.
Bottom line, her music is gooooood.
I'm excited for her because she was recently signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation management. Now Santigold has the opportunity to reach even more people with her music which is great because some of the music being released right now stinks worse than a diaper left out in the sun.
I can't wait to hear some new music from her but until then, check out SOME of my favorite Santigold songs.
It's that serious people.

Style Inspiration: Meagan Good
So I have a confession to make; I am a huge Meagan Good fan. Not only is she very very talented (think "Eve's Bayou", not "The Love Guru") she's also well, hot.
Blogs like Theybf.com are constantly making fun of Meagan Good's sartorial choices but to be honest, I actually like the way the actress dresses.
Sure, she's been photographed wearing the same articles of clothing repeatedly. But c'mon; how many people do you know only wear an outfit once? Don't we all find those perfect pair of jeans and practically live in them till they're not wearable anymore?
I'm more of a dress girl but there's something incredibly appealing about Good's uniform of denim, leather and boots. It's fun and easy and a little rock n' roll.
I mean look at her; she looks badass!
Not too mention comfortable. I'd choose any of these outfits over Herve Leger.
If I owned a jacket like that, I'd wear it all the time too.
AND she has some pretty awesome t-shirts.
Yep, I'm in love.
Calvin Klein Faux Leather Scuba Jacket – $39.97
Not Rated Black Women's Double D 2 – $50

Privatte Black Leather – $149.95

The Pretty Reckless: Pretty Good.
I like to pride myself on being impartial. I try not to pass judgment if I don't know the whole story. If everyone says a movie sucks, I have to watch it before I can agree.
So you would think I'd actually listen to the band TPR's music before deciding I hate them. But I found lead singer Taylor Momsen so annoying in interviews, I didn't bother.
Well yesterday, I went to their website to listen to some songs. I loved all of them. It's not life-altering music but it's pretty good.
There I said it.
Check out The Pretty Reckless.

This Week in Frivolity.
- Chris Brown’s an idiot.
- Congrats to Reese Witherspoon! America’s Oscar Winning Sweetheart tied the knot today. Isn't "tied the knot" a funny saying? I guess it's supposed to mean lasting unity or something but it just reminds me of being stuck like "you're not going anywhere bwahahahahaha"! Anyway, yay for weddings!
- Here’s a little tidbit for my fellow "Bachelor"/"Bachelorette"/ "Bachelor Pad viewers". Vienna and Kasey “Guard and Protect Your Heart” Kahl are a couple. Yes you read that sentence correctly. Now some of you may be wondering: are they the real deal? But I'm asking: do we really care either way? As long as she's still batshit crazy, he continues to make viewers uncomfortable with just being and there's a camera rolling as it all goes down, I'm a happy camper.
- Do you know why I love Jay-Z? It’s because he’s on some other ish entirely. Word on the street is the hip-hop mogul is going to collaborate with Sade on a track called “Moon and Sky”. This makes Jay Z the first hip-hop artist to collaborate with Sade EVER. Well done, Mr. Carter. Well done.
- As many of you know, Dame Elizabeth Taylor passed away a few days ago. You can check out old photos of the actress and activist here. Isn’t it weird? We now live in a world where Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor don’t exist. I, for one, can’t really wrap my head around it; both are such a big part of my pop culture upbringing. Will kids grow up and even care about these dead actors and musicians?
- Congrats to Rachel Zoe! The stylist extraordinaire and her husband are parents to a baby boy. Yay babies!
- So next week's Grey’s Anatomy episode is going to be a musical.
Ugh, whyyyyy?
I hope I have to eat my words this Friday but musical episodes are always so cheesy.
In the words of Youtuber, SaMiLCrUGaR “ok i loveee grey's anatomy but this singin (sic) episode it's like... weir (sic) O.o their doctors not singers leave that to glee”
With that said, these scenes look pretty intense.
