Running Errands with the Folks

Any time my parents have business to attend to, I usually tag along. This is mainly because there's nothing to do in the house.

So we all got up, ate breakfast, showered and headed to Ikorodu. Technically, Ikorodu isn't that far but the traffic here makes driving in New York feel like a walk in the park.

Allow me to show you around : )

There's my papacito. I spent the majority of this trip trying to convince him it was time for a new car but my father thinks it's wasting money since this one still runs. Nevermind the fact that we constantly had to stop because it overheated.

Twins : )

The bus pictured above had the phrase "Rock of Ages" on the back. I thought it was in reference to the musical.

My mother told me I need to go to church more often.

Taking an okada is a popular way to get around in Nigeria. Is it the safest? Hell no. But it's now illegal to ride without a helmet. Tsk tsk tsk, men in the picture.

Another way to get around? These lovely yellow buses.

My yellow flats are lovely too. At least I think so.

I'm not really sure what's going on in the pic above.
